“The service robot area deals with an important global trend which is the increase in the elderly population. I think that the Blue Ocean Robotics Group works based on a highly convincing market philosophy, where they develop service robots with specific functions that benefit users. PTR Robots has in collaboration with Sjællands Universitetshospital in Køge, developed the world’s first mobile transfer and rehabilitation robot. This robot can make a magnificent difference in everyday life for especially the older, sick, and people with disabilities, and at the same time improve the work environment of nursing and healthcare employees,” states Lone Jager Lindquist.

She has demonstrated her ability to create the international expansion that PTR Robots begins with now, concurrently with her first product release.  As CEO of Sirona Denmark, which is a company that develops and produces medical equipment, she succeeded with an aggressive growth strategy that turned the organization's turnover around with an increase from 30 MDDK to 100 MDDK within only seven years.

“With PTR Robots we have created a brand-new product category in the area of patient transfers and rehabilitation, similar to what we did with UV disinfection with our subsidiary UVD Robots,” says Claus Risager, CEO at Blue Ocean Robotics, and now also Chairman of the Board at PTR Robots.

UVD Robots are currently used to disinfect hospitals, hotels, food processing plants, clean rooms in the pharmaceutical industry, airports, train stations, preschools and much more in over 60 countries.

“We have high ambitions for PTR Robots and are very happy to welcome such a strong and experienced profile as Lone in our team. We have great expectations for our cooperation and look forward to bringing PTR Robots on the world market,” says Claus Risager.
